Pretty close to mine:
Mac Pro 8 Core
OSX 10.6.8
16 gb of ram
Start up disk and export location both in separate drives
Default Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 2600 ( could this be the issue?)

were you able to solve the problem? Iam going through the same situation at the moment and is driving me insane, any help would be really appreciated, thanks.
