[Oonagh Cousins]

Hi folks, first time creative cow user here. Hope you guys are still out there because you really seem to know what your talking about. Previously I’ve only made films for internet, this is my first DVD. It’s 33 mins long, shot in Apple Pro Res 422, 1920×1080, edited on FCP, de-interlaced and with colour effects. I sent it to compressor (first timer), stuck it on dvd: Best Quality and submitted. That was yesterday at 5 in the afternoon. It’s now 24 hours later and telling me I’ve got 8 hours to go. The time doesn’t bother me at all if it’s doing the right job. I just want to know that this is normal and I’m doing the right thing…? I feel a little dread that I’ve done everything wrong.
Also, it keeps coming up with a warning saying “This target will overwrite and existing file” even though there’s nothing there-I’m mystified.
