I understand that it may be hard to develop something like that from scratch. But the idea here is more simple: i would have a couple of computers in a small network and i have to make some sort of implementation similar to RAID 5 were i concentrate the hard disk of all computers into a single logic unit available to access in the network.

Yeah, but in this project i cant use servers or an application already developed. I have to make a new one.
I need to create a service on any platform that does what i wrote there.

Because that’s my project for college. I need to do that… but on a SAN environment.

Now, how do i use that concept to build a service that does that i wrote before?
