John Rofrano is exactly right.

I need Vegas to look smartly at the silences in the soundtrack, and remove the associated video parts, so I can automatically trim out useless parts of my videos when nothing is going on (like im setting up the camera, adjusting something, memorizing a line I forgot, etc).

I just don’t get why can’t Vegas do this. Anyone from vloggers, to news makers, to whatever makers would benefit from this feature. You film anything, there are always those useless parts for anyone.
