What I want is to remove the matchbox from below the apple and therefor I masked the matchbox and inverted it.

But as You saw the masked area brightens up.

Any suggestions ?

When I make this mask and make it inverted, it works fine.

Although the masked area is a lot brighter, so when I look at the Composition, I can clearly see, that it has been masked.

Do You know how to get around this ?

The same thing happens, when I rotoscope objects in a layer, meaning these also are showing much brighter.
