I have been given a 3D prism which is a major help..

So i guess the part i’m looking for help on is:

“The coloured beams will then shoot into the prism and as they do the prism spins to its next face where another beam hits and so on.. then a spectrum of light will shoot out and the prism will start to spin as a mirror ball type thing”

Mainly the mirror ball part and the shooting of the rays of light into the prism faces..

Took your advice and started the project already.. thanks MSTLEGER.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.
