Hello, this an old but still very helpfull conversation.
Yes delete the “journal”file and the event comes back.
For me was the very final event for a feature movie, after 3 1/2 years of work… THANK YOU PEOPLE!

I think Cinelerra and Kino would be the aplications to use so far.
But I’ve read (DV magazine) that Smoke with Aja Kona cards are running under Linux.
Things are moving in a interesting way.

Hi!
Thanks for your advice.
I have a problem with the BIOS configuration, the raid dissapear from it. There’s a manual instruction, could be a bad harware installation, but I change the raid card to another slot, right behind the video display card, but without positive results.
For this same reason I can’t try the individual hardrive testings, as Bob Zelin says.
Why do you think the 3 Gb o f ram affect?
Do you think I have to reinstall the raid?

Since the last drivers updates, I have the same problem. The deck could be controlled only the first time, once the system is loaded again, there’s an error occurred while opening the serial port.

I’m using Decklink SP, trying to control a Sony Beta UVW 1800, under the Windows plataform.
Any suggestion will be great to get back on deck’s control

Works in order.
I’m editing with Decklink SP, dual Xeon 2.67 Ghz ann Vegas 6.0 trial version.
The system is estable, without the continues crashes and other frezing problems like premiere pro.
I’m work mostly with Beta SP footage and I’m happy with this system combination.

Yes, I’m using Tyan Thunder i7505, Dual Xeon with Decklink SP and works great.

Sony beta sp UVW-1800
Monitor by component
Master to Beta SP, MPEG-2, DVD, Mini DV
Creative Audigy 2 audio card
4 audio channels.

I did my first test in the Vegas 6 and works great, much more stable like premiere.
