Sorry for the delay in the reply. I bought a copy of horizon and am loving it. But I did take a look at this tutorial (all 4 parts) and loved it. I was actually able to replicate it quite easily. I did have a problem setting up Pano Cube free version, but all fixed now. To be honest, I even found this way, although more complicated, to show better results. Thanks for the tip!

Wow. I had never considered that. It’s actually quite a good idea. So far, everything I have bought has been from the makers’ websites. I wish I had run in to you sooner 🙂 Could have saved me a ton of money.

As a student, I’m not very inclined to spend money on stuff. As an enthusiast who is willing to take this a bit beyond mere schooling, I think I’ll take up your advice. That is, of course, if no one offers a “cheaper” solution 🙂
Thanks for the input. Always helpful.

Hey, no worries about the delay. If anything I should be thanking you for even taking the time to respond.
Cinema4D, ei?! Seems like a nice excuse to get “the boss” to open up his purse strings 🙂

Sorry. I still haven’t got the hang of how to post files to a reply. Here’s where the files ended up:

I have played around with the force values, even the camera system. Still not having much luck. I am pretty sure it’s something really obvious, but I am oblivious as to what it may be… Uploading file.
I am trying to apply the shatter extrusion effect to each face of the 3d cube, to make it seem like all 6 side are floating around a single pivot point.

Thanks. I’ll take a deeper look into camera and camera layers. Meanwhile that plastic solution was what I went with and it worked pretty well.

Thanks for that explanation. As I am just getting my feet wet in AE, that was pretty helpful. I am currently working on a simple project file. I haven’t created any camera yet. I also haven’t changed any position values other than those of the effects I am running. That said, I expected the center to be the 640 – 360. I just don’t know what value in Z it would take to have my object “touch” the viewport. Anyway, I’ll keep trying since so far I still haven’t gotten the effect to hit me on dead center.
