Can you play back the “missing” clip in QuickTime? Can you bring the file into FCP using the import command and will it play?

The answer is yes and yes.
WHat I did was just go back to an earlier autosave. So the problem was really simple to solve.
I was however, made a little uneasy by what happened
Thanks for the idea, I hadnt thought about diskwarrior/
But this doesnt seem like a HDD issue…

The reason I dont want to go there is that its way more expensive! I know the quality’s probably way better, but I wanted to hear if people had used mp3 players, and whether theyd had good experiences…
Thanks for your input though, Ill buy one of these when I get meself a lotta money!

sorry, but like I said, Im a noob… So I wasnt aware I wasnt giving important info. Heres what I thought: if I mike the people in the morning, then follow them from a distance, I am unobtrusive. If I have to use the clapboard, I am not unobtrusive…
But maybe I am misunderstanding what has been suggested. I thought I was adivsed to do some kind of slate for every audio take, even when theres no corresponding video. Did I understand correctly?

Again, thanks for answering my questions, and sorry about not having been precise enough at first.

So is that more or less the price I should expect to pay for good quality audio, or is there cheaper stuff that still sounds fine?

[ntz] “OK, please dont bite me 🙂
and forget about ebay or amazon.
Im just looking for a lavaliere that you audio professionals like.
The purpose, again, is to record interviews on location, so that
I have the camcorder mike and the lavaliere on some external audio recorder.

Itd be great if there was something not super expensive…”

Oh, and its probably gonna contradict the “please not super expensive”
factor, but Im thinking its much better to interview people with a
WIRELESS lavaliere… Any good WIRELESS lavaliere out there?

Thanks for your answer. Youre right, I totally forgot that I never capture to the internal hard drive at work. And its what Ive done now. But I seem to remember ocasionnally capturing to the internal hard drive on other projects and having no problem… And Im using the latest ibook with 521 M RAM dont think you need much more than that… What do you think is wrong? Thanks a lot for your answer
