Ok, I bought the card. My hope is that if the card will handle the redundant writes then maybe I can get a few more years out of my CoreDuo Quad.
I’d love to have an i7 and an external USB3 backup, but there is no budget for it at the moment….

OK, I bought a calibrated 18% grey card for when I am in the field, and in the meantime I will do a manual white balance whenever I am in the studio.
Just for giggles I will also dial in 5100K, and see what color that really makes things =:0 lol

Maybe it is just because there are so many different ‘colors’ of white? Maybe they can make uniform grey cards much easier?
I don’t mean to ask stupid questions. Maybe I should just get a grey card, and check it out.

If white is the same as grey, then why do pro photographers use grey?
Actually, maybe I should start a new thread, since this one is kind of old? (Or is that not preferable?)
