A T2i uses SDHC cards.
I think Class 10 is the best. I don’t know if anyone is getting away with Class 6 or not.

A. Always set a restore point, and download the trial. Even if it works in hypothetical terms, there is no guarantee it will work on your machine.
B. It is better to ask the manufacturer. That way, if something goes wrong, at least you have recourse.

I’m re-rendering but I won’t know until morning 🙂
It gives a maximum suggested bitrate, but what about the minimum? Does it matter?

I called Canon. Basically it is the auto-gain on the small camcorders, plus the fact that I had it choked down to f5.6.
Because the depth of field on the small camcorders is very long, it can shoot at F1.8, and it does not hesitate to boost the ISO. But in order to get both the talent and backdrop in focus I had to choke the 5DM2 down to f5.6, which cut the light by 7/8ths. That plus my earlier choice of ISO 800 and it created the need for a lot of light.
So I will redesign the studio to allow for a shallower depth of field and use ISO 800. Thanks all for your help.

OK, now I’m really confused. The last MPEG-2 render (using Vegas’ defaults) says 4,829,169 in Windows Explorer, so I assumed that is too big for a 4.7 GB DVD-R (seeing as I still have to render the audio stream).
However, I went to delete it, and the confirmation dialogue identifies it as a 4.60GB file.
Do I need to re-render? Or is this file size good?
