I forgot to buy memory cards for my brand new Ti2. What minimum speed should they have? The faster the better surely but I’ve got a limited budget. 133x? 400X? I would very much like to shoot 1080 as well as 720 slo-mo.

    thanks

    A T2i uses SDHC cards.

I think Class 10 is the best. I don’t know if anyone is getting away with Class 6 or not.

I’m using Transcend 16GB Class 6 with flawless results. Tried Kingston Class 4 and it failed immediately. If you’ve got the bucks, go with Class 10 and you won’t have to worry, but high-quality class 6 will work as well.

    Manual states Class 6

I bought 16GB Toshiba Class 4s when I got the camera and before reading the manual. They have worked just fine but I would not buy them again. I would be Transcend Class 6. Faster cards may give you faster offload speeds (if you have a high end card reader) but they will not give you better performance in camera.

Transcend are also the most reasonably priced cards.
