Try recapturing in smaller pieces- TC breaks can throw off the cadence detection.

Perhaps it was not shot 24pA. This happens. How many interlaced frames do you see in the 29.97 clip. There should be only one every five frames if you shot 24pA. If there’s more it’s 24pN.

Not the way a Beta cam can. You could feed audio TC in and out but the cam itself won’t know it.

Better on a G5, Powerbooks run slow with Motion. AVI can be exported.

It’s a good point though. Perhaps with there being no tape on this camera the possibility exists down the road for an upgraded compression codec. DVCPROHD is a solid codec especially compared to HDV but there’s always room for improvement.
