It’s not exactly rocking and rolling that’s for sure. Fast enough is pretty objective though. If you can return the card- buy it and use the Motion demo. If it’s not something you can work with, return the card and delete the demo. You’ll be out a few bucks for shipping if that.

That’s usually done with 3D animation- not exactly a Motion speciality. Better to go with something like LightWave, C4D or Hash. You’ll also need motion tracking software to lock down the 3D mouth onto the rat- Boujou, PFTrack or SynthEyes.

Put the “hole” on a second layer and move it away with a shrink and/or throw behavior. Not sure where the green screen comes in here- perhaps you can post a still or explain a little more detail.

Focusing is one of those things- either you do it right or it’s out of focus. The camera doesn’t focus itself and any pro knows you never use autofocus anyway. So if you’re focusing manually and shots are still out of focus there’s something wrong with your camera.

No- MiniDV cannot be recorded in 4:2:2, that would be DVCPRO50 which the HVX can shoot. And SD material can go to P2- in DVCPRO50 and AFAIK DV too.

The rattle is the OIS stabilizer- as mentioned on nearly every DVX100 FAQ on the Web. It is normal and you will not hear it when the camera is turned on.
Just about any camera will react to fast pans over high contrast areas.
The headphone jack can be an issue depending on your setup but will not affect recording quality.
As problem cameras go the DVX is pretty much at the bottom of the list. But then again you did ask on the DVX100 forum so…

For example- randomizing the opacity of a layer or changing it’s shape on an oscillator. Millons of uses.

I like to mix the program very low in the BG of the commentary so people can still just hear it.
