This is incredible man. Wonderful product. You’re such a life saver man. I just found out there is a very tiny drop of file size after rewrap. Nothing big I guess. Does your application automatically detects the frame rate and rewrap accordingly?
If someone from AVID is reading this, please do something about XAVC-S within your application. Sony camera’s are very widely used everywhere. ONLY AVID is incapable of dealing with it directly.
Thanks Michael for your help resolving this issue.

Thank you for replying Michael.
It doesn’t have any timecode. All of it starts at 00:00:00:00. The names of the clips are like C0001, C0002, C0003. I have footage from almost 10 days. So there are so many clips with same names like that. I have so many slow motion footage. But its all baked into 23.976. Every camera folder has HD and 4K clips mixed.

I’ll try that way. I hope AVID will fix up this issue or at least improve the frame rate support.
Thank you so much for your help Shane. (: -
I Can’t AMA link to it. 🙁 I mean I can but Media Composer shows it as wrong format. I have too much footage of days of shoots.
Is there any way I can transcode these footages and AMA link it or Import it inside Media Composer? . 🙁I can’t understand why Media Composer can’t work with these sortta footages while premiere and fcpx can deal it so easily. 🙁 This facility has windows machines with adobe creative cloud softwares.

Thank you Shane for replying.
I am currently using AVID 8.5.
Most of the footages are shot in XAVC-S.Can you tell me how you work with 119.88 fps footages?
Usual method is to create a project with the same frame rate of the clip later importing the bin and adjusting the speed in timewrap right?
I can’t figure out a way for these framerates.

I tried to import the same footages from a USB 3.0 drive.
That’s all I have here. It’s still showing the same error.
How’d you re-wrap mts files? I mean can you tell me a way? -
The footage is in interval drive. Isn’t resolve compatible with .mts files? I wasn’t comparing, I was just asking why can’t resolve open these sortta files.

Thank you so much. You’re a life saver. Yes there were special characters and I changed it. Now I can AMA link and transcode. But It’s giving me a warning when I transcode, I guess its the way AVID alerts the technician and ask for permission. Let me rebuilt the 5D edits and see if its getting conformed in Resolve.
I’m sending you one shot which is used in the movie. Please see it. Thanks a lot. [:

I have an issue now, when I try to AMA link the clip, AVID says invalid name. I can’t import or AMA link any clip from that folder. Its very confusing. Why can’t I AMA link or import it?
I tried to batch import the shots and convert it to 24 fps. but it fails and the log says.

Yes. Idk why he used MPEG Streamclip to convert frame rate. What I’m thinking about doing is AMA link the original 23.976 footages and replace the edits made with converted 24 FPS 5D footages.
I have few doubts.
1) Since its dialogs are taken with 24 fps shots, would it sync if I replace it with 23.976 shots? If not how would I fix it?
2) Would it conform if I send the timeline to Resolve?
3) If I get everything conformed, how would I send it back to MC?
I know only Scott’s method. I’m not an expert. Can you please suggest me a way? That will be really helpful.
