    Hi,

Actually, the workflow seems to not work.

We are using Avid Media composer 6.5.2. All the media are transcoded in DNxHD145.

We’ve exported a sequence using AAF link media (We try with the AAF Edit Propocol option on and off)

On the after effect side, when we’ve import through the Pro Import, we’ve select Connect After Effect directly to Avid original files.

After the system scan, we got a message telling that one or more files hasn’t been found.

The result is that we have all the sequence but with no “live” media.

What are we doing wrong. On all tutorial it seems to work seamlessly.

    Thank you!

  • Hi unfortunately not!

FCP is remaping everything witch I don’t think is a good way to work, because that means all RGB file will have a gamma shift from the original file.

So if we don’t want any gamma shift, we probably need to create our graphics with a black at 16 and a white at 235 and FCPx won’t remap anything at that time.

I’m not sure that a REAL 30p is the same thing as a 29.97p.

That’s the language we are using, but in reality 30p could be a format by itself.

So why there is 29.97; 30; 59,94; 60 (Maybe I should talk in Hz to avoid confusion) only 29.97 and 59.94 are NTSC compatible, a REAL 30 and a REAL 60 aren’t compatible. What is their used?

    Thank you!
    Nic
