Would you recommend using this canon T2I for shooting event photography plays, music performances? How long could the takes be in HD, and will they take external mics?

Do you have that little shoulder brace that can fold back or down and it presses against your shoulder? I use that w/ my right hand push the viewfinder against my eye and help lift front at the iris control rubber cover that sticks out, but yes it did take some getting used to. I much prefurred the heavier cameras where most of the wieght is setting on your shoulder not pressed against it. Good luck

Yes I did a test w/ a Sony high 8 w/ firewire into the same pioneer DVR-310 deck and had no message or stops in 35 min. I sent my XL1 into Video One repair in Newbury Park I am just waiting to hear what they find.
