    Hi Jack,

Not sure if you are still having the problem, but CatDV support immediately pointed me in the right direction.

I did not have the ExtendScript Toolkit CC app installed from the cloud. This immediately made the export option for CC functional in CatDV for me.

  • Well.. it was quite an easy fix. Support reminded me that I needed “ExtendScript Toolkit CC” installed. I only had the CS6 version installed and never even thought to download the new version from the cloud.

That immediately made the export from CatDV to Premiere functional 🙂

    Hi Frank,

Have you looked into “videodownloadhelper” — a free add-on for firefox?

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/

It puts a little icon at the top in your tool bar, and it will light up when it detects a video that it can lift. From my experience, I’ve only run into a few youtube videos that it wouldn’t rip. Download speeds may be a little slow, but it will do the job — and it will also let you choose the different resolutions of the video to download.

    Hi Jack,

I put in a ticket to support about a month ago about this issue. Hopefully we will get a fix to this soon.

Double-checked that field, definitely says “1920×1080”.

I will open up a ticket, I wasn’t aware of that ticket site you linked, so thanks again Matt!

    Thanks for the reponse, Matt.

All our machines are on 9.0.6 currently.

The frame in CatDV reads it as 1920×1080 — and in the preview window the spanned MXF “metaclip” looks great. It just screws up as soon as I send it straight into FCP7. I get what was in the 2nd and 3rd picture above.

Here is a shot of the tech tab for this spanned MXF metaclip in question (it’s not just this one that does it, it’s any spanned MXF metaclip):

    Thanks again for reading,

    -Nick S.
