Now the question is what was actually on the pages being flipped. I’m betting a big field of chroma-key green or blue. The video “inside the binders” is too perfect. I also don’t think the pages are all being flipped, just the hands making the flipping motion — otherwise there would have to be a LOT more pages and binders. That said… great concept and execution!

We use Cinematize for ripping video from NON-PROTECTED disks, almost always computer-created DVDs rather than commercial DVDs. Works quite well and only costs around $40, I believe. While I’m sure there are programs which can break copy protected disks, even discounting the morality issues, that’s not an area we have any reason to explore.

Gee, Todd. Me too. 10 – 15 – whatever watt carrier current radio is where I started. After interning for a summer with Ty Ford (Audio Pros Forum Host) I came back to school and completely re-organized the music library so people could actually find things. Alas, the station got even with me. They made me General Manager.

Years ago when I was spending 90% of my time doing radio we had a client who actually thought that in the studio we had records (vinyl) of announcers saying individual words. In his limited mind he had the idea that we just dubbed the words from the records onto tape and cut them together in the order that they were on the script. Yet he could never find the time to come to an actual session and just wanted to hear the final spots for approval. Any wonder I moved on from radio?

Do you know of a relevant business group that commands widespread discounts and is worth joining for other benefits?”

Hey, Ron: I think Bob is onto something here. The COW should look into signing up as an organization with one or more of the major hotel chains. If those of us who travel a lot use the same chain the rate should go down year after year. My first choice would be Marriott.

Obviously I’m failing miserably in my attempts to NOT drink the KoolAid, but…

The collaborative environment is ideal for so many of the projects we work on. The thing that absolutely slays me is the realtime translation into the language of the recipient. We have clients in Europe where there are only some of the people we can deal directly with because not everyone speaks English — and because I’m an American I’m not smart enough to speak anything other than English. Wave has the potential to connect us with different layers in the client organizations which had not previously been available.

Now if they can add bulletproof security I see little reason for the few remaining installations of Lotus Notes to survive.

Yes, but wonder if they actually licensed the Space 1999 theme music or just ripped it. My only other comment is that this is the first time I’ve ever seen the News Director as part of a promo featuring on air talent. Wierd. Probably because he’s the only one who looks older than 22.
