I am having this same issue. Also DVD studio reads 23.98 compressed m2v files as 29.97. The DVD burns as progressive 23.98 though when I check the end product. Please FIX THIS APPLE.

I’ve been dealing with this issue for quite some time with this camera and workflow in different incarnations. sometimes the clips have come in at 29.97 in fcp but look okay in quicktime. sometimes they’re out of sync in fcp and not in quicktime. what you have to do, and it works everytime… should have done this instead reinstall fcp countless times… IS open it in QT PRO and step back a few seconds and set an out marker, then trim to selection and save as new copy. import into fcp and magic!
