    Hi. I have a Sony Handycam, the HDR-SR10. I connect it to a USB port, and transfer the MTS files (AVCHD files), and then I use TOAST 9 to convert to Apple Intermediate Codec or other codec, then I edit that with Final Cut Pro.

    All digital conversion.
