    well the deck says the tape is “30p>>1080” and i would try capturing it in 30p but in final cut there is no capture settings for 30p… ?????

    im exporting with the avid meridian compressed right now.. using the media manager to just recomposes each clip. seems like its going to take a while though. does that sound good to you?

    hey the only issue im running into is that my kona card comes out all digital and the dvd player only takes analog yellow connections.

    i do have a dvd recorder, how would i finalize the disk after i burn straight from playback… that or the dvd burning after compressing 150 minute might be the best and easiest option. thanks everyone!!

    so i can just put 150 minutes worth of footage into the timeline and then export using compressor and use 150 minutes, probably the least quality one? you think it will fit on less tan 10 disk that would be great. how long do you think the compressing time would be, for 150 minutes? i have a kona lh card for whoever asked me if i had one.

    i dont even think they want to do a paper edit i think they just want to re-familiarize themselves witht he footage as they have been away for a few months and havent seen it in a while. its ridic i know but i cant say no. im trying to make the options look as crazy as it is to them so they will just say we’ll come in and view it in the studio

    id have to convert sequenes then right??? what you you mean batch conversion? i thought using he media manager would work if i wanted to downconvert it?
