Yep… looks like my issues has been resolved. I did all of the above and my footage works fine. I thought it was in slow mo die to the lack of audio and the way the test scene was shot.

The only thing I’m noticing is the running time of my 24p clips vs the original 60 clips are different. Will this cause a huge audio sync issue? So far I noticed the sync being off in one of the longer captures.

Thanks again guys for your help!

    Hi Gary,
I did use the Frame Rate Converter, but my footage looks like they are in slow mo. I reconfirmed with the DP and he is positive it was shot 24p.

    Hi Shane,
You mentioned that you have used the 720p60 Easy Setup when capturing 24p material before. It seems like this was how my footage was captured, but I can’t seem to get rid of the redundant frames now. FCP tells me the frame rate of the footage is 59.97. Is there anything I can do besides recapturing everything to solve this issue?
    Thanks for your help.

I upgraded and had several issues with FCP 6.0.2. So I went through the whole uninstall reinstall process and finally got my FCP to work properly. I haven’t upgraded my QT since (my current version is 7.3.1) just to be on the safe side. Still waiting for the next release and/or more info.

    Thanks for the feedback guys.
Gary, the footage was provided to me (already captured). I was pretty certain that it was captured incorrectly, just needed to make sure. Thanks again for the reply.
So, just to confirm, is there anything I can do to remedy this, besides recapturing everything?
