Vince, thanks to your guidance, I’ve come this far. What am I doing wrong? How to get those dotted effects on the corners?

I’ve managed this much. Now I want to connect the paths for the top and bottom parts as seen. How do I do that? Currently top half is 2 semi circle paths with two straight line paths and similarly at the bottom.
