Thanks guys. Looks like I will be in good shape as long as the DP copies the entire card structure (I’m sure he will. He has worked on several big name projects-hope I don’t screw something up haha). I’ll talk to him just in case.

    Thanks
    Nathan

p.s. Props to Shane for the Dharma icons in the tutorial.

I’m on a mac and use ichat all the time. Get chax for ichat and set up a screen name for you work computer and use chax to automatically accept screen sharing from your personal screen name. I use this to access my work computer from home to check on compressor and final cut. No audio but it works good for me.

Just curious; does the fact that most of my stuff goes to web so I don’t really need a NTSC monitor to preview on while editing, make a difference? The HDTV will be used mostly to show clients previews of finished products (or works in progress).

I looked at what you suggested and would agree that that is the best solution. And in the video world $1000 is not much but I haven’t been doing this too long and $1000 in a little out of my price range. Are there any temporary solutions (until I can muster up the cash) or am I better off just waiting and doing it right the first time?

    Thanks

Just to make sure I under stand correctly; a 2x drive would have a transfer rate of 2.8Mbps…sustained?

    Thanks
