[Dave]: Copy the clip in question for safety’s sake, open the copy in Cinema Tools, and conform it to 23.98.
That’s one of the things I tried, but it makes it slo-mo. And when I take that conformed 24p clip back into FCP, drop it in a DVCPRO HD 24 sequence and speed it 250% to bring it back up to speed, it does that humming/blurring effect that doesn’t look good. I also tried the DVCPRO HD Frame Rate Converter in FCP (which in essence does the same thing as Cinema Tools, I think) with the same results.
