I know this is an old thread, but after surfing around online for a while I’m having trouble finding solutions, even after using the solutions above. Would love any more solutions if you know, since I’m sure, as usual, it’s a little thing I’m doing wrong in the workflow.

My workflow begins with Premiere, where I speed up a clip (with smooth ramping), nest that clip, warp it, then nest that clip, then speed ramp again, and finally send that last nest to after effects for masked color grading. So basically, I have a multinested premiere clip being sent to AE with smooth keyframes (custom “easy-ease.”

Problem 1:
The keyframes in AE seem to cause jittery playback or ramping, as if the keyframe adjustments were not transferred correctly to AE. My clip in AE normally ends with a couple freezeframe’s at the end – making me think AE adds a keyframe at the end of the comp or something. Is there a way I need to set it up in Premiere to simply transfer accurate speed ramping and keyframe placement to AE?

Problem 2:
Warp stabilization does not seem to be the same in both programs, I always end up having to actually delete the effect brought over by premiere and add the AE warp stabilizer instead. (Could be bug)

Any insight is obviously going to make my entire month!

I have a similar debilitating problem, yet opposite directions. I speed ramp my GH4 96fps footage in PR to 1000 percent all the time. When I send an entire timeline (with multiple ramped clips involved) to After Effects via dynamic link “replacement” I occasionally get a clip in AE that blacks out. Meaning my AE clip will run black when there should be more frames of the clip I had in Premiere. I am totally lost in how to solve this one, and it is putting my business at a halt. I Check my premiere clips for extra key frames that aren’t being used and delete them in case it would be in the way, but still, the problem occurs, and it seems to be at random. I am desperate for help. I am on a PC platform. I highlight all the clips in my premiere timeline and right click to replace with after effects. Straight from there, I render the selection in after effects to find the issue present.

How does one color grade 10-bit Prores footage from the GH4 + Atomos Shogun in After Effects on a PC without rendering out washed out image? Seems like the PC does not want to render the same color saturation and contrast as I see in the After Effects panal. Is this because PC is not reading Prores correctly? Can I just export to some different codec? Or must I transcode all the footage from the prores to something else when working on a pC? Thanks so much!
