Hard to tell honestly. I hope so! Avid is just not as widely used so I am not sure if Sony will think it is worth their time. Especially if they focus on streamlining the Premiere plug-in.

Refreshing scripts with consolidated media in Avid

    1. Open all scripts you want to refresh, the thumbnail of the clips at the top of each script will show media offline.

    2. Right-click and relink all the clips to the drive you are working on and this will refresh the scripts.

for some reason, if you relink without the scripts open it won’t refresh the clip reference.

It isn’t possible to use H264 in an MXF wrapper (H264 is already a wrapper, so the media would be ‘double-wrapped’ if you could!). In any case, it would not be a pleasant editing experience, given the decoding complexity. Sorry to say, but DNxHR LB is your best option overall. It’s designed for quick, responsive editing and, although not great, the picture quality is perfectly OK for most people.
