That program didn’t work, but I downloaded the trial of Xilisoft and it looks to be the one, don’t see any loss of quality either. Converted .mov to .avi’s no problem. And the full version is under $60. What a relief!

Thanks, I’ll try all of the above and if I have success I’ll let you know in case anyone else has this problem. I read some earlier posts and had no luck with some of the suggestions, was hoping there was a recent easy fix available.
