I probably should’ve specified that I’m using a laptop, not a desktop. But my vent does get pretty darn hot sometimes so it might be that.
And yes, it takes a few minutes after I start rendering to turn off. At first it would stop everytime at a certain point so I thought something might be wrong with that clip. But then it went a bit further, and then stopped, so it can’t be that.
Also, I don’t know if this helps, but the problem started when I clicked on an old project and tried to save it. Before that, everything was fine.

well, no because they arent originally mine. its a tv show i downloaded, and i searched for foreeverr for some with mpeg audio layer and it was nowhere to be found…
oh, they import just fine, but the audio either doesnt work, or it will build the peaks soooooo slowly and then eventually freeze the whole program and ex out…. -
seriously? well that sucks… but thanks, i’ll stop trying…

Okay, now I’m really confused. It says they’re almost exactly the same, except one of the audio frames is aligned on interleaves and the other is split across interleaves. And one of the audio codecs is ‘0x0055 MPEG-1 Layer 3’ and the other is ‘0x2000 (Dolby AC3) AC3’ and a few other numbers are changed
