I don’t know what you mean by codec…so maybe that is my problem. I did an extremely quick google search of it as I am replying to you and learned that it’s a video compressor…

when I make videos, after I dump the raw footage, I edit it with FCP or iMovie and then use AE to add the VFX.

Can you point me in the right direction?

Oh, I forgot to mention that I am supremely new at FCP. I mean…like…new to the extreme. I don’t even know how to put up still pics.

I’m working on learning on how to though.

So what kind of settings can make a shot look more crisp?

Just an example, you don’t have to go into detail. I am just confused about it all.

The movie I make works fine IN iMovie, but when I export it to anything be it quicktime or whatever, the audio, as you say, drifts.

I don’t know how much clearer I can be really. When I play it through iMovie it works OK but right when it gets exported and goes onto my desktop, the audio suddenly decides to not work.
