    Thanks everyone.

    So:

    1. Erik – My Gt530 isn’t supported for raytracing anyway. I inserted it to the UNsupported OGL cards – and it did something. Trying to load the project, it loaded 79% instead of 10% like before, but still crashed.

    2. John – I already tried importing, it didn’t work for me.

    3. Dave – as far as I know I can’t turn OGL off in AE cS6…

    :-/

  • thanx 🙂

  • just deleted the index files, let avid do the scanning, all is up again. fewwhhh 🙂

  • now I’ve noticed that I don’t have the msmMMOB file in my original Avid MediaFiles folder, so what I did is:

    – rechanged again the name with an “x” on the start
    – Restored the Avid MediaFiles I’ve deleted, which contains only the batched imported 50fps clip, which has of course an msmMMOB file.
    – Waiting for further instructions how to get all of my materials in my original, now named “xAvid MediaFiles”, get recognized again by Avid…

    Thanx very much.
I won’t delete the ama’s, as I want to relink the transcoded clips to the ama’s when going to online, I’ve only transcoded to dnxhd36 for smooth edit.

Thank you Scott for the great answer.

I was linking to AMA, then transcoding. When I do that – the actual media that the clips and subclips I create later on point to, is the transcoded materials in my AMF folder, right?
So as you said two “doubled” clips are pointing to the same media, and one could be deleted safely as long as I don’t delete the master material.

I’d be happy if you’ll throw a few words about AMA-linked clips.

The reason I’d like to not have extra clips of the same thing, is that I work with a lot of material, and I’d like to stay focused, to have my project in order, to know exactly what material is in what bin, and not to get confused. Instead of deleting, I can always push them to some “doubled” bin and ignore them, I think…

    Thanx again

  • Thanx for the answer. Do you have any idea why

    1. when I ignoreQTrate and import the material is slowed but looks “jumpy” a bit
    2. when I setQTForcedFrameRate all the clips are not full, meaning not lasting like the originals and been cut out somewhere in the middle
    3. when I bring them from a bin of a 720p/50 they look the best, clean and smooth

    ?

Well than, I’ve transcoded to dnxhd 90x and exported again the new sequence to H.264. Still have the mis-sync… Any more ideas?
I think I’ll try exporting only the Video from AMA’s or transcoded sequence and try to import it to a new project in the same encoding and combine it with the audio for export.

Ok Shane, many thanx. I still have lots to learn about formats. Do you know any good and concentrated web source to learn from?

the native 23.98 footage is H.264 720p. The native 24 footage is motion JPG 1080p. Then again, also with consolidating the sequence, my highest option is dnxhd 90x (720p). Is it sufficient in your opinion compared to the native?
