…NewBlue definitely seems to be part of my problem. I created a simple, five (5) second title – text credits fade-in and out. And any time I try to edit the the damn thing, to create a 2nd title with the same components, down she goes taking Vegas with it. Crap.

…Vegas Pro 11 64-bit (build 521) is crashing and I, along with what appears to be many other users, don’t want to invest in the time to find a workaround (for Sony) to an obvious number of programming bo-bos. Especially on our dime/time.

Me, I don’t want to handicap my PC, just to see if Vegas can stay alive long enough for me to accomplish, what should be, freak’n’ simple task.

*** The only thing I can think of people that would be simple to try, is to keep uninstalling and re-installing the application. After each uninstall, clean your PC’s registry and trash any Vegas Pro 11 leftovers to help insure a clean re-installation. ***

That should take about five (5) minutes. A small investment of time. ~Monte

Turn off GPU support? Why would I do that? I have a way-more-than adequate video card – CUDA – all the bells and whistles. GPU rendering is one of the key selling points of Vegas Pro 11.

I don’t expect Vegas to perform like Premiere, but for once, I would like a version to be stable.

I’ve been at this a pretty long while. Digital multimedia hardware and creative software has been a passion I grew into in-between working in the music business and a degreed fine artist into a number of mediums.

I want GPU rendering to work as advertised. CUDA!!!!!

…I have the latest nVidia beta drivers for my GTX5500 Ti OC. I’ve gone back and forth between the last 3 nVidia driver builds with the same result.
It’s Vegas 11 – and not unlike previous experience with earlier versions. Never a day’s use w/o the app crashing at least once. Basic editing is solid. It’s when I get into putting on the dressing Vegas goes limp.

…32-bit users? I wouldn’t know and don’t really want to take the time to find out for myself. Call me lazy.

…are you rendering interlaced files or progressive scan? “Reduce interlace flicker” >>> read up on that in the Vegas Pro Online Help (Help > index search: “flicker, reducing interlace”.
