Hi: Thx for the response. As I stated earlier it was suppose to be a simple. It was suppose to be a simple 10-20 second graphic. I used the cc fast blur effect and then a feathred orange background using a solid layer. Both layers were 3D. I did not have the RAM preview on, as I said I only have a gig of RAM. I hope this info might help you to better answer my question. But My main question would be that how long will it take AE to render a 20 second long clip.

On your first issue. You should not use your 100B as a capturing device. It will just put more hours on the head. Use your Olympus to capture your footage. Both cameras are mini DV’s. This will prolong the life of your 100B. Also which Mac r u using?

For your second issue what do u mean by upload. You mean when you are capturing or exporting back to tape or QT?

Sorry I forgot to mention one BIG fact. Its a GL2 not 1. I had it set on 16:9. Now when I captured it into FCP express it wan fine in both the Canvas and the viewer. its when I converted it to MP4 and output it to tape I got this letterbox. Now I have just regular QT. Do I need to upgrade it to QT pro? Also when I capture 16:9 footage into FCP can you tell me what preferences I should set it on?

The thing is that I imported it to MP4 to send it to my brother (The project was for one of his friends). And I exported it back to GL1 to see what the final product would look like on the tape. But in both formats (MP4 and tape) it came out letter boxed. So, please let me know how can I get true 16:9 without the letterbox.
