I’d be interested to see if you find a solution. We’re experiencing the same behavior with green clips and everything. We also have multiple Macs, and everyone is doing the same thing. Really appears to be a bug in the CC version.

Yes, that’s what I’m seeing as well. It caught me off guard because I didn’t have any trouble with CS6. I also see some corrupted frames about halfway in the clip, but the rest will play ok. I submitted a bug alert as well. I’m also having trouble getting my CS6 app to work, but that’s another thread! Thanks for your help!

June 21, 2013 at 9:46 pm in reply to: Request for user feedback and feature requests, Sony Content Browser and possible next generation application(s)We stayed with the Log and Transfer program to log our optical disks. Now that we’ve got an EX camera, we’ve had to start using Content Browser. I find it very confusing and difficult to use. One function I miss is the ability to easily subclip a master clip. We get game “melts” and have to break the master clip into 40 or more subclips. You can do that in Log and Transfer, but I can’t figure out a way to do it in Content Browser.

A little more testing- tried viewing the clips in CS6 and CC on another computer in our company. CS6 played the clips fine, but same trouble with CC. I wonder if it’s a bug in Premiere Pro CC.

Thank you for your help. Here’s a YouSendIt link so you can download the files. I hope it’s just my machine and I’ll be able to track the issue down.

These are 3 files, but about half of this game shows the same issue.

Thanks, Don. I’d appreciate the help. I’ve really liked everything else about Premiere Pro, but not being able to edit our game highlights would really be a deal breaker. Is there a way to send a private message through this board?

I tried resaving them out of Quicktime Pro, but it didn’t help. I’ve realized the problem is worse. I work for a professional sports team, and we have thousands of individual clips of every highlight for the last 8 years. To create them, we subclipped off of professional Sony XDCAM disks and rewrapped all the clips into XDCAM Quicktime for FCP 7 using Log and Transfer. When I open up a game, most of the clips break up. Often, it’s at the head and about halfway into the clip. I need to figure this out or we’ll have to give up on Adobe. We can’t abandon all our footage from the last 8 years.
Does Premiere Pro have a problem with 32 bit Quicktime movies?

These are quicktime movies that are rewrapped .mxf files since FCP doesn’t recognize .mxf. We might change our workflow in the future to stay native since CC doesn’t mind. However, right now we have hundreds of hours of old footage that are these rewrapped quicktime movies. I was wondering if there is a setting or something I might need to do to get the files to load properly. I loaded about 50 clips in this last project, and maybe 6 or 7 gave me trouble.

Well, we had our first real shoot yesterday and I think I have started to figure out our workflow. I used Content Browser to copy the clips to the optical disk, and then I was able to rename the clips on the disk inside Content Browser. Now, we’ll import the clips off the disk the same as we did in the past and we still have an archive that we can refer to in the future. It’s not as fast as just pulling the clips off the SxS card, but I feel better knowing the original media is always available in our library for years to come.
