Sorry for the extra post but the message I recieve when importing an MP3 or M4A file is “After Effects: AEGP Plugin AAF: Error occured while creating project. (5027 :: 12)”

Ok, thanks very much Paul. Also, another question, MP3’s are also an unnacceptable audio format to be imported into After Effects… Is that my fault or just the program?

It still froze with Hardware Acceleration off and Nero 8 uninstalled. My graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200, is that too old? It has 128mb of memory. Thanks for your solutions, but still, Sony Vegas is beating me :P. When it loads up, CyberLink programs flash up on the plug-ins being loaded, could it be that program? I only have CyberLink installed for my video camera

I tried uninstalling Nero 8, and re-installed Sony Vegas, but it still froze at ‘Creating Windows’. I know it’s not Sony Vegas because absolutely everything loads perfectly before it starts creating windows

That’s all that’s installed on my computer – not much really, I like to keep it clean

I tried re-installing Sony Vegas after rebooting my computer but still, it made no difference – it still freezes at ‘creating windows’. The last stage.
