  • Dwaine,

I’ve tried CUDA 6.5.18, 6.5.14, and just now 5.5.47. As far as I’ve been able to tell, nobody has reported success with CUDA and Yosemite, no matter what the application. If you hear of a working set of drivers, please post here.

My system: MacPro 5.1, GTX 970, Nvidia web driver 346.01.01f3 (released today), and CUDA driver 6.5.18.

CUDA is unavailable in all apps. The CUDA preferences panel says “Update Required” and also says “No newer CUDA driver available”. Go figure.

    Mike

  • I’ve upgraded to Yosemite, and so far CUDA is not functioning in any apps. A new Nvidia driver was issued today, but that still doesn’t fix the problem. I tried using GTX 570, GTX 580, and a new GTX 970 GPUs, all with the same result – no CUDA.

  • First post here. I just upgraded my old Mac Pro 5.1 to a pair of CUDA cards: a flashed FTX 580 3GB and a stock 1.25GB GTX 570. The two of them play very well. With just the 580 my best time was 5:43. With both cards installed and running, my time was 3:19. I’m astonished that these cards scaled so well!
