Thanks Zax, after I re-figured out how to do it in Illustrator, i sent a rough edit and they realized that they wanted Times New Roman Bold.

    Humph.

Really really really looking forward to the new version of Proanimator!

If you’re in a pinch, you might try duplicating the layer and put a Gaussian blur on the lower copy. Usually a 2 or 3 blur is plenty to give a nice glow to the object.

This is how I used to do all my glows before I went to Sapphire.

    That’s a relief!

They need 29.97 FLV with a keyframe every 60 frames.

    F4V does not work.

Okay. That is the magic question. I did a search on Amazon.com for USB 3 Mac PCI and got several hits. Now that I look at them they are 3 port USB 2 or similar.

What is up with Apple not supporting USB 3?

I want to use the Intensity to color time my films. Looks like the best the PCi card does is 1080I.

Think that might be good enough till Scarlet comes out?

What about a USB 3 PCI card? Do you think it would work with one of those?

I like the features of the Shuttle Pro better than the PCI card.

I’m envious of your 12 core Mac. Mine’s only 8 cores, but I”m happy with it.

The 12 cores won’t help you with DaVinci, it only uses one or two. You need a graphics card with muscle like the GeForce GTX 285 or the QuardroFX 4800.

Your 12 cores are going to ROCK if you use Premiere CS5.

March 14, 2010 at 5:16 pm in reply to: Smoothing a shot in After Effects?

Time was an issue. Had a five O’clock deadline.

I did try it and it didn’t work as well as I had hoped.

What I finally did was make a new sequence in Final Cut with the one shot and use Core Melt to smooth it. Then I rendered it and dropped it in the time line.

I still spent 45 minutes tweaking it. Kept getting Jigglies at the beginning of the shot.

The Boris filter hardly changed anything. Next week I’ll spend some time on it to learn the ins and outs.

It’s starting to look like I can’t change the text because the AE version of PI doesn’t have a properties window.

Hope one of you guys out there know a solution!
