Thanks…normally I don’t use squeeze outside of work, but unforunately this is what I have at work. What are the reasons for avoiding squeeze for compressing mpeg-2’s, I’m curious! Thanks for the help!

Sorry- should have clarified- when capturing into FCP we removed the pulldown and when editing we edited in a 23.98 timeline- so no, we did not edit in 29.97, and yes, we did remove the pulldow when bringing into FCP.

We need to make a master dub of the film, however, when we try to print to tape, we are presented with pulldown options. With the pulldown patterns 2:3:2:3 and 2:3:3:2, the image is jittery, with a black frame appearing between each frame of the film. Only when we select the pulldown pattern 2:2:2:4 does it print to tape without error. We are wondering why our project won’t print to tape using the 2:3:2:3 pulldown pattern.
