Same issue but on a Newscutter…

I’ve been playing around with NC9. I have had no issues editing SD content captured via Mojo baseband. However, when I tried hooking a Sony EX3 up and edit with clips directly from the camera…I’m getting a notice telling me that SYNC POINT EDITING is on.

I’ve scoured the forums on this issue…MC users are directed to the settings>composer>turn off SPE button. However…(unless I’m missing something) there is no “composer” menu in Newscutter under any of the setting tabs to turn SPE off..

Where in NC9 is the place to turn this setting off?

Is there a difference between SYNC Lock and SYNC Point?

Also…just curious why this happened using file based video vs baseband video?
