Thank you again for your response. Unfortunately, the price of secondhand RAM is quite close to that of new RAM.

Thanks for the quick response.

I have an old Dell XPS 8900 with 48gb ram, GTX1060 6gb and two Samsung SSD drives). Of course it is slow.

I was offered this Alienware Aurora R13 for $600 with the components as mentioned above. i know 16gb of RAM (8GB x 2) is not enough. The PC has 4 RAM slots so there are two empty slots. Adding 32gb (2x16GB) will cost $300-400.

The PC was manufactured in 2021. I’ve heard complaints that this RTX3080TI (Dell edition) may run very hot. I do not know if it is a good idea to buy it in 2026. What do you think?
