But what is strange is I don’t see the PRO templates in VP 13 – I see the directory in the file I/O but it doesn’t show up. I tried to import the AC3 templates into 13 but achieved only errors. My solution right now is to recreate the project in 12 and use the PRO output which seemed to work fine. Just a little disturbed that I can’t render PRO right from 13. 🙁

OK I found that in my Vegas Pro 12 I had additional templates names DD AC3 PRO as opposed to DD AC3 STUDIO and the PRO templates I can edit. So all I have to do now is locate my 12 templates and copy those into 13 -
Yeah it is strange, also I have two computers with it installed and both behave the same so it isn’t an installation issue.

Well it sounded good, but unfortunately I installed DVD Architect Pro, rebooted, ran both in administrator mode and without, and still had the customize option greyed out 🙁
It really sounded like the solution though.

No, I have Vegas Pro 13. The other templates customization isn’t greyed out, but for Dolby Digital Ac3 it is. Not sure why

Actually Dolby Digital AC-3 5.1 Surround DVD doesn’t allow me to customize the template…it is greyed out. I do have the options of two templates, one with AGC on and one without, I selected the one without. This is the info it says under the template:
Audio: 448 Kbps, 48,000 Hz, 5.1 Surround, Automatic Gain Control off.
Use this setting for 5.1 Surround DVD soundtracks.
Audio: 448 Kbps, 48,000 Hz, 24 Bit, 5.1, AC3Again, I’m not certain I still have the problem. I’ve rendered the files but haven’t burned the Blu-Ray yet. I’ll try to finish that today. Just listening to the AC3 it seems fine, but I don’t have the greatest ear 🙁

There is no dynamic range, the highs are brought down low and silences get lifted up like it’s trying to equalize all levels. That was my past experiences with it, I’ll give it a shot with these new wavs and see if I have to same results

Actually I have had some trouble outputting to Dolby Digital AC3 via Vegas before as I seem to get compression like crazy even though I have every setting I can think of off. Any one else have that issue?
