IM not 100% sure what originally caused the error when i first tried rendering it out. I would get some frames completed then get the error. So i i deleted the 10 frames, and try again…same error

Next i tried, leaving the 10 completed frames there and rendering again, this time checking the “skip existing files” box. and it finally worked.

BUT i couldnt take THAT sequence and render it out. i was going nuts. Finally i looked at all my targa files that rendered out and frame 10 said “0(zero)K” so deleted that single frame and rendered again with skip existing files an it finally worked.

So, like i said im not sure why it originally would crash, but either way i got the job done. Its going to be very annoying it i have to do this every time.

One more question…I originally got this gig because the owner of the video wanted me to create DVD menus for it. Which was simple enough, lil AE, Photoshop and Encore.
He really liked the menus that i came up with and then asked me to do the corrections to the video, i told him i would see, but no guarantees that i could do it. If it turns out that i am able to, how much would you charge for something like this? (American dollars)

Figure the video has a TRT of 24minutes @ 30fps.

Color flickers and bad pixelation…Looks almost like there are pixels missing. Think im S.O.L on that. 🙁

But ill give it whirl.

I’m using CS3.

I checked everything, double checked and triple checked…

I went ahead and wrote the DVD with the bug anyways, And works fine in a DVD player. Still acts funny inside of Encore.
Would still like to know why that happens, But hey! It’s working when i need it too…

I’m going to get into contact with the projectionist at the theatre this will be played at.

Since i’ve never done a project that is movie theatre size,
what would i ask him?

I heard there are diffrent types of projecters that theatres use, will that make a diffrence?

If you were me, what would you ask to make sure you got it right on the first try?

No, they only need to be delivered in one format…

The list above was the AE settings i had for rendering.

H.264 Codec @ 1920×1080 with PAR of 1.33.

I thought i had the correct settings, because he said he wants them HD. Heard that H.264 was good for HD. Hence the 1920×1080 settings.
Also said he needs them rectangular pixels; why i chose PAR of 1.33.

HDV 1080/DVCPROHD 720 (1.33) <—was the dropdown setting for the 1.33 rectangular pixel option in AE.

Am i wrong on these settings?…Either way looks like i will have to adjust for the new specs of having them Movie theater size?

Which is the correct setting for that? Film 4k?
