I shoot 1920×1080 a lot, but it’s hardly red quality.

i’ve seen benchmarks on render times over the years on accelerator cards for programs like studio max. it would be interesting to see how these different cards render the same video using different codecs. many of my renders are over an hour…it really slows down the finishing process.

have you seen benchmarks against the MOTU product? or the AJA which come in around the same price? I don’t think the AJA accelerates the H264 encodes tho so i’ve already written them off.

Would you say the H264 rendering is 10 times faster? If so, I’m in!

Another piece I’m looking at is the MOTU V4HD…it’s about $700 more. Love the bridge meter on it which is nice for monitoring what you’re putting out to tape or DVD.
