Thanks Scott. Took your advise and it works. I have one more question for you though. I want to post this on my sons baseball web site so I rendered it as an automated GIF. How do I get the gif to keep shattering on a continuos cycle. Right now it goes through the effect once and then stops.

Ok I’ll give that a shot. Now this may sound crazy but while I was playing around in the time line panel i was able to adjust where the effect started. Inside the layer bar I noticed a series of small dots. If I left cliked and held the botton on the mouse I was able to slide it to the point in the composition that i wanted the effected to start. Wherever i placed those series of dots is where the effect started. Tried it the next day and could never duplicate it. Does this make sence?
