Exactly, I record with an external microphone, I don’t use the camera’s.
This is surely why the issue happens.

The problem is that what is out of synch is the camera’s video with the external MIC’s audio.
By themselves they don’t have anything to do with the game’s capture. I’ll try what you suggested, but I never exported a proxy out of After Effects, is there anything I should know? (probably it’s because english isn’t my first language, but what did you mean with “to a bulk”?)

So, you’re suggesting me to download Handbrake and re-encode the videocamera footage? It’s really strange for a professional camera to do variable framerate, and it can’t be the game itself to be out of synch because it’s the camera’s lip synch with the microphone that ends up wrong!

I know it is wrong to say that the audio is “at 29,97”, but it for example does not warn me that its settings are different when I try to put it in a 30fps sequence, so it probably isn’t the problem?

I’d love to hear more. 🙂 Thank you for the reply.
So.. My shot is of course a 2D movie. I also sadly have trees in front of the buildingm but even more than the shadows I’m unsure about how to do the light itself on After. I can’t believe I’ll have to play with levels and white solids, and most of all.. It’s a thunder, so it will be fast as a gunshot.
I’m probably missing what to do frame by frame to do the illusion though…

Thank you, I’ll check that out! The issue is I’ll have to create the light the thunder creates, not the thunder itself. (But I have to in another shot so thanks ;])

August 8, 2013 at 3:36 pm in reply to: Exported Quicktimes from Media Composer unreadableI tried to customize all the settings, and using DNxHD the movie is playable but without any sound. These are really strange issues indeed, but I really thank you for being so fast appearing to help me. The thing that using custom exporting settings I’m been able to at least export the video safely is already a HUGE step forward. I can manage to get out of this now, I think.
