mhhhhh, this sounds like interlacing to me. or quality issue.
Composition Settings>resolution should be full
Render Queue in Render Settings Make sure Field Render is Off to get a progressive signal.
Render Queue in Output Module Settings go to Format Options under the Video Output section. In the Codac Settings make sure that “Interlaced” is offTry that see if that gets you better results.
Best of luck,

indeed is a great place to start, they have a salary tool that will let you know how much people get paid in your area on salary. From there you can calculate you freelance rates based on experience, in-house or using your gear and so on.
Also Freelance Switch has a good tool to calculate your rate. There you will also find some numbers from a survey they do each year from different industry freelancers.
Also last place I would point to is https://motionographer.com/ they have a few articles on rates if you do a search. They also posted results from a survey that is more industry specific with rates for Motion Graphics Artist, VFX artist and so on.
Best of luck, let us know what you decided and how the job is going.

I wish there was a straight answer for this one but the fact is that each TV station has different requirements for delivering TV Commercials. So just make your spot 30 sec long and be ready to have a frame of black at both ends, or 2 seconds of black or bars and tones, slate, 2 sec of black then the spot and then 2 more sec of black. or w/e other combination the station calls for.
The good news is that a lot of stations have FTP delivery set up so all you need to do is send in the spot exactly as it will be on screen 30 sec long. You still need to make sure that the file format is according to the specks they need.
Best thing to do is to call up the station and ask the specks they need, they are really good about that.

I would work with Icarus it will give you the foundation without the pressure to learn it all in a 30 day trial. After that I would do the trial versions of each available tracker see how it works, some you can rent for a month, but it’s still a lot of money.
The good news is that all this will make you a better 2D tracker and you will find ways to accomplish what you need to using just mocha and some creativity.

did you try using whatthefont? sometimes it helps, not always but worth a try.
I usually do a screen grab of a section with a large word of two and upload that to the web page https://new.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ then it will ask you what the letters are.
I had mixed success with it, but it’s always faster then guessing with a list of all the fonts on the computer.
There are also some smart phone aps that do the same thing.

ok so I love DSLRs and I love what they are doing to the industry, so it hurts me so much to say this. If your looking to do snowboarding videos don’t get a DSLR camera.
-If your going to do photos only, yes get one
-if you will shoot video standing still on a tripod slowly pan and do a nice focus with shallow depth of field on the rider then yes get one
-if you will be on the back of a snowmobile with a steadyCam with a vest and arm then yes get oneDSLR are great because they give you that shallow depth of field, film look but if your making a fast sports video you will never get to use that because it will be impossible to focus, you will hate your life.
Jello Effect, no way around it.
You will need an ND filter because snow is so bright and you need to block some of the light from going into the lens. + $110
I hate to be negative and all and believe me I would love for more people to get DSLRs becouse they are great but for what you like to do I think you will get more bang for your buck if you get a video camera. Even the cheep ones will get you better action results.
Best of luck, if you still get a DSLR make sure it’s one with a swivel LCD it will help tremendously

I use the H4n for my audio needs, it was $$$, and I worry about batteries, and it is a bit of a pain if I don’t have a 2nd person with me and I am on the move. But man each and every time I get back to the studio and play the audio files from it I say SO WORTH IT.

Just like to echo what Brent already said, shoot in the highest, best setting you can even if your end result is a 320×240 web video. It will make the end result that much better.
Did you try seeing how the SD footage looks in an HD time line?

Last summer I filmed a feature film using a 7D on most days on some a 5D and a 7D and the H4n using all 4 channels.
We would make a disk image of each SD card using Disk Utility and each H4n audio card.
Naming each file: MMDD_video##_camA and MMDD_audio##
It did take a long time and yes it was a pain but it was worth it. Each night we made sure that there was a disk image on Directors hard-drive on the DP’s (me) hard-drive and the external hard-drive with the producer, that way we can sleep well at night get up 4 hours later and do it all over again, great summer 🙂
To get the footage in to Final Cut we just mounted the disk image and opened the Log and Transfer, worked like a charm. The Director did the editing, and I did the special effects at a diferent location
When a clip needed special effects work the director can just send over the Final Cut Time line I can then mount the disk image from that day and get to work.
There was no real advantage of doing the same thing with the audio other then we got into the work flow and just did the same thing for all the files from the day.
Hope this helps keep me up to date on how you decide to work,
