thanks… so I guess when working with mixed codecs, the best idea is to keep the sequence setting at which you have the highest quality clip in your timeline.

…so one last thing, if that is the case, how does it handle multiple frame rates? …does the timeline keep them native? …or does a NTSC-DV clip at 29.97 get converted to 23.98 with a DVC-PRO HD 24p sequence?

Thanks for the response… Is this true with the new Final Cut Studio as well? (even though it supports multiple codecs on the same timeline) …or does that “multiple codec support” only mean for playback viewing?
