<p>Apologies. Perhaps I am stupid after all,</p>
<p>It&#8217;s been a while since I used resolve and what I am actually trying to do is split the clip not actually cut a clip out) so ctrl  is what I needed not ctrl x.</p>

Ctrl-X (for cut) isn&#8217;t working for me. </p>
<p>Using mouse, going to edit menu, and selecting cut also isn&#8217;t working</p>
<p></p>
<p>(This occurs on both cut page and edit page) </p>
<p>Other ctrl commands i.e. ctrl-v, ctrl-c are working fine</p>
<p>ctrl-x is working fine in windows/other programs, it&#8217;s only DV Resolve where I am having probs.</p>

<p>Backed up database and uninstalled Resolve and all other BlackMagic products. </p>
<p>Tried a fresh install of 17.4.1 but I get the  SAME error and cannot install it at all. </p>
<p>So now I don&#8217;t even has resolve on my system, which makes me unhappy. </p>

<p>Companies trademark various aspects of their designs &#8211; usually those things which make it extremely distinctive  &#8211; consider the Aston Martin grille shape for example. </p>

<p>Restore project archive doesn&#8217;t work &#8211; it cant find any to restore. </p>
<p><span>I did try &#8220;recuva&#8221; but it only restored 1/3 of the files it found and none of those was a drp file Weird.</span></p>
<p>I DID find my folder which (having unhidden files) appears to have db files in it (when navigating via explorer) but these do NOT show up in resolve. </p>

<p>I was trying to track something which had flashing lights and it wasn&#8221;t able to maintain sufficient points by which to track.</p>
<p>Resolved (see what I did there?!) the issue by tracking another part of the image.</p>

<p>It tracks around 6 keyframes and then just stops tracking. Won&#8221;t proceed further.</p>
<p>Multiple attempts to no effect.</p>
</p>
<p>The crash always happens right in the beginning when starting tracking.</p>
<p>I previously had an OLDER Intel system with 960GTX card, now&hellip;</p>

Almost everything they do will work in the latest version of resolve anyway so keep your resolve to the latest version and you&#8217;ll have no dramas. </p>

<p>As far as specific videos &#8211; yeah there are some good general instruction videos from all of those blokes.  I&#8217;d suggest&hellip;</p>

That will pay the biggest dividends.<br />
