    Hi, thanks for your reply.

I saw this lens over at the JVC section at Dvinfo

    https://www.usa.canon.com/html/industrial_bctv/p_eng_KT17ex4.3BIRSE_intro.shtml

I live in Australia, the poster who brought this lens to attention was thinking maybe Euro 6000 -8000 which is about US$9000-1000 or Australian $11000 – 13000

Nearly twice the price of the Gy-hm 700 Camera body

    Cheers

    Hi

    Just noticed your post.

I’ve recently installed a BM Intensity Pro in my MacPro, I’m not mobile ie using a laptop

Bit of a learning curve to learn how to tweak the thing but I did manage to capture via HDMI using my little Canon HF 10

This little camera captures to Internal Memory or Memory card @ 17 Mb/sec in highest quality setting.

FCP (Final Cut Pro) usually advises me in the browser window that that when I’ve ingested footage off the camera memory or card it has it @ around 14 Mb/sec.

I captured some test footage via the BM Intensity Pro via HDMI with the HF 10 and FCP recorded it @ around 21 – 22 Mb/sec

So, it does do the the job and at higher rate.

I’d be interested what the Canon HFS 10 can do via HDMI (I’m assuming it does HDMI)

I use a RR 2314 Raid controller card and a Firmtek 5 Bay 2.3 TB Raid enclosure that BM Speed Test says I can write to disk @ 204 Mb/sec and Read @ 234 Mb/sec

Firmtek are not taken to seriously round these forums, they do have some 2 x Bay enclosures which of course can be striped Raid 0

Firmtek stuff is a little DIY. When I set it up it cost me around US$1500

If you interested in Cineform / BM Intensity card, just google or search Vimeo for a guy called Henry Olonga, he is all over this stuff.

    Good luck

    Hi

Can add to this question as well, but be more specific and aim the question at the Intensity Pro.

I live in PAL land and shoot with a little Canon Vixia HF 10

I like to shoot in 1080 25p, but I can Shoot in 1080i I usually Log and Transfer in ProRes HQ

Does the Intensity capture ACVHD ?

If not can the Intensity card simply just allow me to monitor the ProRes Output from FCP Studio 2 once I’ve Log and Transfered my AVCHD files?

    Cheers

    Hi Andrew

“Great so far, only now the camera doesn’t respond. I can’t turn it off by the power button.”

This is the “issue” -> the Power button won’t respond.

I don’t use a card reader, but I can eject both HD Icons off the desk top, but Camera stil won’t respond.

I need add to that Chris Hurd over at DVinfo said it was ok to basically ignore the warnings from the cam and just disconnect the USB cable and the power cable.

Here’s my original post over there : https://dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=124530

    Cheers, thanks for your interest

    Hi,

Thanks, but I’m not sure what you mean, I think the White HD symbol is the Canon and yes i can eject both.

    Many thanks for the information.

    Thanks again
